I had not planned to make a post but I ran accross this video of a impromptu performance by Arcade Fire. It’s actually sort of disorienting but once you get past the first 2 ot 3 minutes, when they finally make it into an elevator it’s very cool. I think they knew they were going to put this on YouTube or it is for a larger video. It appears to be right before they take stage.. It’s really interesting anyway. By the way, their newest album Neon Bible is very good. Maybe I’ll do a review later.
Watch it

Mike asked me to write a little bit about the work in progress that is our upcoming album. Its current working title is “Some Creatures” and will be a bit longer than the first. Featuring songs about deaths of beloved children, the loss of one’s roots, deterioration of psyche, and wars between loved ones, the instrumentation will be slightly more organic and the overall sound a little more salon. Some songs included will be the title track, “On Fire”, “Breathe”, “Lovers, Don’t Leap”, “Wintergreen”, and “Picture of Health”. My hope and dream is that this will be out before Christmas.
Mike here: I was thinking about the “deaths of belovid children” part the you wrote. It reminds me of Kathe Kollowitz. The title of the this piece is Woman with a Dead Child. Kathe Koolwitz is dark, depressing, and fabulous.
She is one of my top favorite drawers. That sounds kind of dorky to write, but she is incredible. Check out other pictures of her art.
